HOW I WORK
I create whimsical watercolor illustrations that are tailored to your aesthetic. These can include custom crests, monograms, borders, patterns, pet portraits, venue illustration, wedding maps, etc.
Each piece will feel special and totally customized to you. I compliment my illustrations with a number of printing techniques, such as: custom letterpress, die cuts, hot foil stamping, embossing, and bespoke papers and ribbon.
Pricing varies depending on the number of pieces in the invitation suite, printing methods, and intricacy of design.
To begin, please fill out the event information form on the bottom of this page. Also, Images really help me to visualize your aesthetic. The more visuals I have (flowers, table settings, other paper goods you like), the better I can match my designs to your vision. So, please either send images in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a link to your Pinterest board. If you are keeping all your wedding plans on the hush hush, you can invite Tiny Shindigs to collaborate on a secret Pinterest board.
Next, we will discuss details- pieces needed, paper selection, printing method, etc. We can do this via email or phone call, whichever you prefer. You will provided a detailed proposal based on our discussion. I price things à la carte so that graphic design and illustrations are quoted separately from printing costs. If you would prefer to work with a printer directly, I’m happy to provide just the digital files.
ONTO THE GOOD STUFF...
Now we can start creating your invitation suite! A nonrefundable 30% deposit of the total estimate is required before we begin the design process. First, I will send a few mockups with quick marker sketches of invitation ideas. Once we have finalized the design, I paint the watercolor versions. You will be sent a digital proof to approve. I am able to do as many revisions to digital proofs as your timeline allows. This allows us to make sure the tiniest of details is perfect.
Next, I will send you a physical press proof to review. One press proof is complimentary, any additional proofs will have an added fee. Once you are in absolute love with your invitation suite and approve the physical proof, we go to print! You will be charged the remainder of the balance at this time.
The design process can take as little as 2-3 weeks. However, I will spend as much time as it takes to get you the perfect invitation suite! The physical press proofs will take 5-7 business days. The final printing process will vary on the intricacy of your design and printing method. Custom die cuts and letterpress suites take about 3-4 weeks. Digital printing takes about 10-14 business days. I recommend we start the design process 6-9 months before your event.
HAND LETTERING SERVICES
I also provide envelope addressing for a limited number of projects. If you are interested, please let me know in advance so that I can reserve a time slot for you. Lettering begins at $3.00 an envelope.
THE FINISHING TOUCHES
Now that you have sent out your fabulous invitations, we can begin to design your coordinating paper goods for the big day- program fans, escort cards, menus, table numbers, oh my!
